Ubisoft has released a prototype video for Rainbow 6: Patriots. This is not actual gameplay but Ubisoft’s “vision” or “pitch” of the game.
Ubisoft decided to release this video because they believe it has been leaked and wanted to set the record straight. This way its clear and gamers are informed that this is not actual game play.
The footage starts off with the gamers perspective of being in the shoes of a hostage who is forced to become a suicide bomber, it then switches to team 6 who’s mission is to take down the terrorists and do what they “have to do”.

Cover mechanics seem to be pretty similar to Rainbow Six: Vegas
Confirming the 2013 release date is far and probably the reason why we aren’t seeing actual gameplay yet.
Most industry analysts expect the next consoles will be announced in early 2013 to be released in 2013. Will Ubisoft keep R6:Patriots only on current consoles?
Rainbow 6 is a series that is very close to the heart of XMG.

I have no comments until there is actual gameplay. 2013 is way to far off to make any judgements based on “concept gameplay”.

After watching the video all I could think was how cool this would be if it worked with sonys hmz-t1 3d glasses and a kinetic sensor on the next gem consoles in 2013 /drool would be an intense experience to say the least!
